Private trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau

Private trip to Auschwitz-Birkenau

Auschwitz-Birkenau was a complex of Nazi concentration and extermination camps located in Poland during World War II. It was the largest camp system that housed approximately 1.1 million prisoners, most of whom were Jews. The camp had gas chambers and crematoria, where thousands of prisoners were killed each day. The living conditions were extremely poor, with prisoners given minimal food, clothing and medical care. It was liberated by the Soviet Red Army in January 1945, with only a small fraction of those who were imprisoned surviving. Today it is preserved as a museum and memorial to those who suffered and died there.
